Using the rotation of the turntable itself with the tonearm as the paintbrush, the painting took approximately 50 rotations to decorate itself.
Initially drawn to the simple kinetics found at the science museum or in childhood toys such as jumping jacks and Newton’s cradle, they now specialise in creating contraptions and sculptures that have a similar simple gratification, brought to life by either mechanics or by human energy. Working on a wide range of projects for the likes of Craig Green, Moncler, Hermés to the Tate Modern and the Victoria and Albert Museum, their work aims to excite and engage audiences through an ongoing exploration of materials and mechanisms.
